What is Urban View Gives?

Urban View Gives was inspired by the African proverb, “if you want to go fast you go alone, but if you want to go far, go together.” Thousands of nonprofits and organizations are working tirelessly to provide our community with resources and opportunities to make our world a better place. Many do so in obscurity. Urban View Gives will shine more light on those who are making a difference.

Born out of the concept of tithing, each month we are highlighting an organization that has been doing the work and could use a boost to make that work a little easier and allow them to do more. A caller on the Lurie Daniel Favors Show said, “Imagine if everyone listening gave $30 to this group. What a difference that would make!”

We decided to put that imagination into action.

We are featuring groups, organizations and activists that appeared on SiriusXM Urban View over the years and who are committed to serving our community. This is our thank you to them.
